Nutshell:
Ben Stiller is an overly cautious insurance adjuster (or something like that) set to marry Debra Messing, whom turns out leaves him on their honeymoon. Ben goes home and back to work, meets up with his friend and ex-child star Philip Seymour Hoffman, and they go to a party where Ben runs into old high school friend Jennifer Aniston (a.k.a. Polly). Ben wants to date free-spirit Jennifer and of course only fun and frivolity can ensue when these two opposite ends of the spectrum get together...or one would think.

Personally I thought the film was somewhat lacking after this point. There were a few laughs here and there, but that was about it. I truly felt that I had seen this movie or plot somewhere before, but couldn't put my finger on it. Perhaps it's not too far from the Ben Stiller I saw in "Meet the Parents", Gaylord acting like something he wasn't if for no other reason than to meet the approval of his girlfriend's parents. Not unlike this film with Ben's character acting like something he wasn't to meet the approval of Polly. Yeah funny for a bit, then it just gets old and tired. And unlike "Meet the Parents" there is no funny confrontation between Ben and a airline stewardess to save an otherwise lack-luster film. It's almost as if both movies were directed by the same person...Huh, now that I think of it, there were! Oh my...what a shocker.
So to sum it up...yeah, you know...never mind...that's enough.
