Call it a glimpse into the portfolio attached the resume’ of Cinematic Art Director/Story Boarder and Sculptor Sandy Collora. An 8 minute cinematic calling card if you will. The apparent purpose was to show people that Sandy had what it took to be a director in Hollywood. And being that it’s such a vapid wasteland of redundant ideas, he needed something that would stand out far and above the rest. And in that, he succeeded.

The nutshell of the short is we find the “Caped Crusader” once again pursuing the Joker down some darkened alleyway, and to our surprise a few unexpected and uninvited guest show up to join the melee.

The beauty of the short film is that it remains true to its comic book roots from which it was spawned. This alone should delight any Batman fan boy out there. Myself included, although I haven’t bought a “Graphic Novel” (or what people would commonly referred to as a comic book) in years, I’m still a big fan of the Bat though. Not to mention the fact that I’m sitting here writing this with a Batman logo T-shirt on…what a freakin’ geek I am. Anyway, back to the film.

The action and imagery were fast paced and stunning, and the ending only left me wanting for more. Put simply… it’s a cool short film. Get a copy if you can. And I truly look forward to seeing more of Sandy’s work in the future.
