So, You want to know more about Roblyn?
Let’s
see, where to start. Movies became my passion (which I blame my father)
when I was a young teen. We lived so far in the “woods” that
we couldn’t get cable, so my father bought the first VCR in our
community (it could be classed as antique by today’s standards).
Dad was getting about 2 movies a night. I remember one night I didn’t
want to watch a movie and he said “Oh, this is supposed to be a
good one with a new up & coming actor”. That was Tom Cruise
in Risky Business. I was hooked.
What fascinated me most was “how did they do that?” more than
the story. I guess that’s why I am now a film Script Supervisor
(Continuity). I now know “how they did that” and it still
fascinates me. I do love a good story and will “purposely”
turn off the “continuity” switch, as I don’t want my
love of movie watching to be tainted, but if it’s bad from the start,
look out!
I love comedies first, as we don’t laugh enough in life as it is.
I love visual effects and action. I’m not so much into “chick
flicks/love stories” but I have seen some that I was tricked into
seeing and actually liked. I like Horrors (Devil type, not the stick a
knife in your eye and blood gushing out type). Good suspense is always
great.
I moved from the east coast of Canada to the west coast (Nova Scotia to
British Columbia for all you Americans 
to pursue my film career. I want to do movie reviewing on the side and
if it takes me in new directions, great.
I spotted this website just browsing and it looked interesting. Jef and
Lyn seemed to do this website for the love of movie watching and their
website is very “visually” appealing and fun to go through.
They have so graciously taken a chance on me, so hopefully this “Canucker”
can do them proud.
I’ll give you a brief idea of the movies I like (and by no means
is this the complete package), and is subject to change if I want to (‘cause
I’m a girl, and I can change my mind whenever I want .
