This is gonna be a difficult one for me, because it deals with topics that I feel very strongly about. I have to keep in mind that this is a film review and not a soapbox for my own personal social commentary whereas I would rant and rave about all my moral and ethical standards. So, I'll try to keep this as light as possible.
Michael Moore hands us his documentary regarding most or all of the ills (mostly centered around violence) in and of these United States of America in his usual style that can be somewhat uncomfortable to bear (as most controversial subjects should be).
The film may asks a multitude of questions, but nonetheless leave us to find the answers. Queries that I cannot even begin to fathom myself as to what the response could possibly be. But, as in life, the best questions are the ones that just make you think, or perhaps alter the way you think, and sometimes-even change the way you live your life from this point on.
But, in a basic response, I believe the best answer to the film is wake up and start paying attention to your life and the lives of others around you. And there I go…drifting again. Sorry.
In essence I believe this is an important film, and I think everyone in this country should see it. Period. Warning though, it can be a very harsh and disturbing look inside the dark side of this country that we call home. Thanks.
