Cute… Not much more to say about this harmless little bit
of cinema other than that. I mean it was a good film. I found it to be
a very light-hearted comedy with touching moments, and philosophical leaders.
Jim Carrey plays somewhat hapless TV news reporter Bruce Nolan, who seems
to be in a sort of a stall in his life and his career, then decides to
takes his misdirected anger out on the big guy. But the kick is, the Almighty
gives him a personal one on one meeting, and a Bonus! Bruce gets all the
powers of God to help aid in his journey in creating a better version
of what the world should be. It's amusing to see the little tricks Bruce
pulls for his own entertainment, and yet refreshing to see that there
still are consequences for all of your actions regardless of your powers
or lack there of. Unfortunately life does not imitate art in that respect.
But I guess that's why I liked this film. It didn't preach on the morals
of ones good or bad decisions, but more on that the choices are yours
and yours alone to make. Little life lessons from Hollywood…I guess.
Hmmm… Come to think
of it, not a bad day to stay awake in class.
Oh yeah, by the by…excellent choice on casting Morgan Freeman as
the Lord.
