I always liked “what if” movies….maybe because I always wondered if I changed a few things, how life would be today.  This is about a man who because of the outcome of his life, he finds out he can change the past, and when he does, he see’s what the future has become.  He has to do this several times as each time he changes the future there is always a change that’s not always for the better.

This movie starts from the get-go, with no time for a bathroom break.  It’s loaded with information that is useful throughout the movie, so there are no needless scenes.  You actually forget who “Ashton Kutcher” is meaning his “70’s” character and his ever so public personal life.

This movie is clever, has an original story line yet there is an ever so disturbing life that unfortunately so many families go through.  He has the power to change the lives of his closest friends and loved ones.  The ending however confused me and I thought he should have taken a different route until someone pointed out to me the “key” words that were said to make the ending perfect sense and then it was all the better for me. You must pay attention as it’s pretty fast paced and if you miss the flashbacks, you could be lost.

It was also filmed in British Columbia, so it was good to recognize the local scenery, and the pub scenes were from a local Irish Pub, that I’ve been too a few times, so that was fun.  A definite must if you like “what if” movies!
