Is it fair for a person to write a movie review for a film that they hated so much that they watched most of it with the fast forward button? I suppose not, but after about 10 or 15 minutes into this film (and I use that term loosely), I couldn’t take anymore of this excuse for a horror movie. The acting was overdone. The storyline was so cliché and had so many holes in it. The editing was confusing. The dialog was “f” this, “f” that. The gore was nothing new. I just can’t really find anything about this that I liked except for one part. In one of the DVD extra’s there was a clip that said something like the “family version” of Cabin Fever… needless to say it was about a 45 second clip from the movie, and that was it. Not a real big surprise but a little funny nevertheless.
I know we helped promote this film on our site, and we had the famous quote from Peter Jackson on how he loved this film, (maybe he was smoking a little too much Hobbit weed when he saw it?) Anyway… My apologies if you went to see this film based on our promotion.
If you like campy B-movie slasher style horror movie you “may” like this (So far I know 3 people who said they liked it – a friend of mine who also like Freddy vs. Jason, and the guy at the deli counter at my supermarket, I overheard him talking to a friend saying how he and his buddy liked the film, while the rest of the theatre were screaming out loud that they wanted their money back). But consider this review a warning.
