Okie-doke…yet another comic book hero to make the leap onto the silver screen. I wasn't really familiar with the saga behind the "Daredevil" character (beings that I was kind of partial to "Batman" as a kid…and still today I must admit : ), but knowing it now doesn't help much anyway. Anywho, since "Matt Murdock's" misfortunate brush with some radioactive waste into the ocular area as a youth, he now has ultra sensitized senses sans of course his sight. His hearing now acts more like a bats sonar (in a sense) but as an added bonus, it has been given the range of tint, and not just simple shape outlines, but the ability to see an iris of an eye. Making of any bat jealous with envy. And how exactly does this make you blind then? Which also makes me wonder if his remaining senses are better enhanced, how does having an exponentially superior sense of taste help be a better super-hero? : ) No matter… So the blind(?) youth grows up honing his skills and thus becoming the present day Daredevil we all love and adore. Including some pretty amazing acrobatic abilities that later on will consist of the capability to plummet from a high-rise building and land square onto a window cleaners scaffolding about twenty stories down, and nonetheless remain completely unscathed. Wow! I did not know that an unbreakable bone structure was included in his remaining five senses? Perhaps it was switched with that sense of smell thing I brought earlier. But in this somewhat bitter upbringing it seems that present day attorney "Matt Murdock" aka "Daredevil" can not find his clients opposition guilty, he takes matter into his own hands post verdict to make sure justice has been served, and also is handed out to anyone who might find themselves in the way. Cause you know nobody's truly innocent so what's the diff? Sounds like Mr. Murdock is a sore loser and is in need of some serious anger management classes. Anyway…
I have to apologize to any devote "Daredevil" Fan Boys (or Girls), I went into the theater not being a "Daredevil" nor much of a "Ben Affleck" fan for that matter. So, excuse me but, the story seemed sketchy at best, and all the characters, two-dimensional. It just appeared as if they try to jam too much information into a two-hour time frame, and it all just left me with nothing more than a futile attempt in finding a comfortable position to fall asleep so that I could escape the rest of the film. End review…
