Nutshell:
Sports Magazine Ad Salesman Dan Foreman (Dennis Quaid) is about to enter a new phase of his life, his company has been engulfed by an unrelated company who now deems it necessary to bring in new blood across the board to share their vision on how the world should really work. Enter Dan’s new boss and 20 some year his junior, Carter Duryea (Topher Grace).

A lighted comedy that pretty much mirrors real-life in the fact that you have these computer age companies growing quickly beyond their own parameters that the only thing they feel they must do is buy other older more established firms, to give themselves a sense of greater worth? Sorry…touchy subject ever since ‘AOL’ gobbled up ‘Time Warner’, and in turn closed all the ‘Warner Bros. Studio Stores’. Grrrrr! Anyway…

I really liked the film. It was just a good story of a family man just trying to survive in a brave new world, with a wife, and a daughter (on her way to an expensive college) and trying to hold on to the job that pays for the before mentioned items, and somehow keep his pride in tact. Not an easy task when his boss is young enough to be his son, and unfortunately he's counting on him for insight on what to do.

All in all a well acted comedy that was simply a pleasure to watch, and after the year in movies that was 2004, that’s saying quite a bit.
