Catherine Zeta-Jones plays a self-absorbed gold digger. I’m not sure it’s much of a stretch for her. She plays the role very well, but again, is it acting or documentary-like (look at Chicago and America’s Sweethearts). There’s not a lot I can say, as it’s been almost a week since I saw it and it’s starting to fade from my memory. I “started” to check out the extras on the DVD. There was one segment in black and white of train footage from the old days. I lost track of how many times the segment looped as I was fast forwarding it and it seemed to go on forever. I prefer watching the outtakes. Shouldn’t outtakes be funny?? I thought so. They weren’t in this case. A lot of “looping” dialogue that doesn’t get funnier and funnier!! Sorry folks, not impressed with the movie at all and from now on will trust my original instincts. Roblyn |
