Things to look for when
seeing the movie a 2nd time
(or 3rd, 4th, etc...)
1) During a scene with the
car chase, the door to the police car is open and you hear the voice of
the dispatcher come over the radio... "One Adam 12, One Adam 12..."
Does anyone old enough remember this TV show? Cracked me up.
2) When Neo is "Doing
his Superman thing", Check out how he flys, I think his position
of his hands with one arm straight foward, and the other fist down near
his waist, is a classic superman pose... Can anyone confirm this?
Got another one?

Questions:
(and
you must explain why. No easy ‘yes or no’ answers here. And
I will play ‘devil’s advocate’ if the answer is unclear)
1) Is the architect "good" or "bad" (or neither)?
Jef's two cents: I'm unsure of this one. In keeping
with the religious overtones or metaphors, it’s fairly obvious that
the Architect represents the “creator” or God. But technically
speaking, he would be considered a “machine” and the one in
charge of the “Matrix” which then would put him in the “bad”
category.
Dietmar From Germany writes:
I like the ideas of another review,
that the architect is more like the devil, or is still only a program
so
neither good or evil, because it can't make choises, no free will.
(you can argue a virus (bio or program) is evil because it's doing bad
things, but it's not responsable, the programmer is!)
2) There was a short scene where two guys were leaving the matrix, and
Agent Smith caught one of them, before he could exit, and spread his self-replicating
virus to him. What was this characters name? Was it Bane?
Dietmar From Germany writes:
yes Bane is the one that was infected with smith,
also last picture
before 'To be concluded'
3) This is purely hypothetical here… When Agent Smith replicated
himself in the above scene, and the phone rang, he picked up the phone…
What do you think the consequences were in the “real” world?
I.e.: What happened on the other end of that phone!
Dietmar From Germany writes:
Bane wanted to kill/infect Neo when they leave for
the oracle, that was prevented and bane then says: "WE'll see you",
so allready smith. This doesnt fit to the normal Matrix/Real-plot.
4) Is it possible to “transport” a ‘real’ object
from the Matrix to the ‘real’ world outside of the Matrix?
You’d have to play the video game to see this one for sure, but
it was mentioned briefly in the movie. I think this could be a minor flaw
in the plot of the movie. In the videogame, ‘Enter the Matrix’,
Niobe is sent to retrieve a Disk from a mailroom. Upon a successful retrieval
of the disk, she brings it back to her ship with her… How can an
object materialize from the Matrix into the Real world?
My 2¢: I don’t believe it was the same
actual disk, but by Niobe getting her hands on the disk, the data could
then be copied to a real disk in the real world. But
the game/movie makes it seem like you can bring an object out of the Matrix.
Dietmar
From Germany writes:
when Neo get the message from the oracle, a little
piece of Hardware obviously... same problem. I hope its not just a lame
flaw, and there is an explanation for that in revolution, like Zion is
also just a simulation (many hints for that)
5) It’s clear that the oracle has some sort of ability to “see
the future”, and I use that phrase loosely, But… how did Agent
Smith find his way to the hallway of “backdoors” in the building.
In other words, does Agent Smith now have the ability to foresee the future?
How else did he know that Neo would be in that hallway, at that particular
time?
Dietmar
From Germany writes:
Smith finds Neo also after the talk with the oracle.
As an Agent (also as ex-agent) he shurly knows the backdoors. forsee the
future for a program its just like a chess-program, but the question is
howmuch of the 'board'/matrix smith can see if he is disconnected from
the system, maybe they are connected by the
code-excahnge they had, so admitted I dont know ;-) But the oracle cant
forsee everything too, she was very angshies to get to know if Neo sees
Trinity die.
6) Lyn and I went round and round with this one for a good long time trying
to figure this one out… Which door was Neo ‘supposed’
to walk through? He was apparently the 6th or 7th “one” so
there were others who came before him and were put in that same spot.
The other 5 chose a door. Did Neo choose the same door as those before
him? Or did he surprise the Architect this time, and choose the door that
no one else did? (For clarity sake, instead of referring to the ‘left
door’ or the ‘right door’ we’ll call them the
‘Zion door’, and the ‘Trinity Door’)
Dietmar
From Germany writes:
The architect wants him to go to the Zion door 'salvation of zion' to
continue the cycle. the 6th Neo chooses the Trinity door, while all his
predecessors chooses the Zion-door. First time seeing this I was confused
too, but whit the theory that the architect could do nothing about it
- Neo is the one who can/must choose - the reaction of the architect makes
sense.
Thanks
Dietmar!
The Script has been
found! Well not the actual script per say but a transcription of the dialog
for the entire movie. Thanks zionframe.net for making this available. Read
the script here.
And... I've been
thinking of a new conspiracy tie-in with the Matrix... read more here...
