The documentary by 'Morgan Spurlock' looks into the world of fast food and one of the major problems facing many Americans these days; heart disease, and what better vehicle to take us on that ride; the king of fast food; 'McDonalds'. I first had to ask myself why would I really want to see a healthy human eat this crap for thirty days? I have to admit I really can’t stomach the stuff anymore, not that I’m obese, more that I’m older and am put in the unfortunate perch of having to care more about my health, than I did in my younger days. The film was filled with very informative arguments and facts from both sides of the overweight issue, and was overall very entertaining. Although somewhere around day eighteen, it was getting a little tedious, and I was wishing for it to end. But all and all, I really enjoyed the film, even though I did kind of liken it to “Bowling for Columbine” in a way, but then again, not bad company to be compared with in my eye. Lyn |
