Nutshell: A serial killer grows up and over the years takes over the lives of the people that he has killed, in essence using their personas until they’ve outlived their usefulness, and then he moves onto the next victim. So a pretty appropriate title, don’t you think?  If only the rest of the film was that clever…

Didn’t get this one from the start. Yeah I understood the whole serial killer thing, I’m not completely stupid, crazy yes, stupid…no. The crimes are being committed in the Great White North, and an FBI Profiler (Angelina Jolie) is asked by the local authorities to come where else but north to help. Breech of protocol I would imagine, but I guess we had an extra agent just sitting idol, so…no matter... off the topic.

The film moved well regardless, despite the typical and droll animosity between the two departments, but near the end started to get too clever for its own good. By the time you figured out how the real killer was (if of course you didn’t see it coming) you couldn’t care less. It was almost like that “Yeah so?” kind of feeling. And to make matters worse the filmmakers try to be tricky once again, and by that time I was busy getting my coat, and collecting my trash for it to make any difference. Oh…oh okay, there’s the exit…

I’m sorry; I truly have a problem with movies that try to be more than the some of their parts. It could have been something, but guess what?
